Why Download Links Expire and What That Means for You

At ADSR, we work hard to keep your purchases available and secure. One important part of that is our policy on download link expiration.

Why do download links expire?

  • Protecting creators: The sound designers and developers who sell through our platform rely on licensing agreements that often require us to limit access to purchased content over time.

  • Licensing agreements: Some products are subject to licenses that restrict how long we can offer the files for download.

  • Security: Limiting the number of downloads and the length of availability helps protect your purchase from unauthorized sharing or abuse.

What does this mean for you?

  • Download links typically expire after 10 download attempts or 365 days, whichever happens first.

  • We recommend downloading and backing up your purchases as soon as possible after purchase to avoid losing access.

  • While we strive to keep all products available for up to two years, this is a best-effort timeframe, not a guarantee. In rare cases, links or files may become unavailable sooner due to external factors like licensing changes or developer takedowns.

If your links expire, you can usually refresh them yourself by logging into your ADSR account — but we encourage keeping your own backup just in case.
