How to Load Presets in Xfer Serum / Serum 2
If you have purchased preset packs from ADSRSounds.com and want to use them in Xfer Serum or Serum 2, follow these instructions:
Presets from ADSR usually come in .fxp or .preset file formats, often organized in folders. Make sure you have extracted these files from any ZIP archives.
Open Serum or Serum 2
Launch Serum or Serum 2 inside your DAW or standalone.
Open the Preset Browser
Click the Menu button (top right corner) and select Show Serum Presets Folder. This opens the folder where Serum expects preset files. Alternatively, you can manually browse to this folder location on your computer.
On Windows, this folder is typically:
Documents\Xfer\Serum Presets\PresetsOn macOS, it is usually:
~/Documents/Xfer/Serum Presets/Presets
Copy the Preset Pack Folder
Copy the preset folder you downloaded from ADSRSounds.com into the Presets folder you just opened.
Refresh Serum’s Browser
Back in Serum, open the preset browser by clicking the Preset dropdown. If your new presets do not appear immediately, click the refresh icon in the browser or restart Serum.
Load a Preset
Browse through the folders and click on any preset to load it. The preset’s settings will be applied immediately, and you can start using it in your project.
If you have trouble locating the presets or they don’t appear in Serum after following these steps, check the following:
Ensure the presets are unzipped and copied into the correct folder.
Confirm the preset files are compatible with your version of Serum. Presets made for Serum 2 will not work in the original Serum and vice versa.
Restart your DAW or Serum if presets do not show up after copying.
