How to Load Presets in Spectrasonics Omnisphere

Omnisphere offers a rich library of sounds, and loading presets correctly lets you explore its full potential. Whether you want to use the factory presets or import custom presets, here’s how to do it:

Accessing the Preset Browser

  1. Open Omnisphere in your DAW or standalone mode.

  2. Click the Browser button located in the top right corner of the interface. This opens the preset browser window.

Loading Factory Presets

  • Use the category filters on the left side of the browser to narrow down presets by type, instrument, or genre.

  • Scroll through the list and click any preset to load it instantly.

Loading Custom Presets

  • Custom presets from ADSRSounds.com typically come as .omnisphere or .omnispherepreset files.

  • To import them, click the Import button in the browser window.

  • Navigate to the folder containing your custom presets.

  • Select the preset file and click Open. The preset will be added to your user library.

  • You can then find your imported presets under the User Library category in the browser.

Important Tips

  • Ensure Omnisphere is properly authorized and that you have installed any required content libraries before loading presets.

  • Keep your custom presets organized in dedicated folders for easier navigation and backup.

  • Omnisphere presets can contain multi-layered patches; loading a preset may take a few seconds.

Troubleshooting

  • If your custom presets do not appear, verify the file extension and ensure they are compatible with your version of Omnisphere.

  • Rescan your library if presets don’t show up after import by clicking Settings > Tools > Rescan Library.

  • Make sure you have the latest version of Omnisphere installed for best compatibility.
