System Requirements


Plugin Formats Supported:


  • VST3 (macOS and Windows)

  • AU (macOS only)


Operating Systems:

  • macOS 10.13 or later

  • Windows 10 or later (64-bit only)


DAW Compatibility:

Your DAW must support MIDI routing from MIDI FX plugins to instrument tracks.


Downloading MIDIGRiD


  • Get a FREE 30 day trial of MIDIGRiD by visiting https://www.adsrsounds.com/product/software/midigrid/
  • You can download MIDIGRiD from your ADSR user account or the confirmation email sent after purchase.
  • Choose the correct version of the installer for your system—macOS or Windows.

Installation on macOS


  1. Open the downloaded .pkg installer file.

  2. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.

  3. MIDIGRiD will install to the standard plugin directories:

    • AU: /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/

    • VST3: /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/

  4. Launch your DAW and perform a plugin rescan if necessary.

  5. Load MIDIGRiD as a MIDI FX plugin (e.g., in Logic Pro under MIDI FX > AU MIDI-controlled Effects).


Installation on Windows

  1. Run the downloaded .exe installer.

  2. Follow the setup instructions and confirm or choose the installation path (default is typically C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3).

  3. Complete the installation.

  4. Open your DAW and rescan your plugin list.

  5. Load MIDIGRiD as a MIDI FX plugin on a MIDI or instrument track.


Verifying Installation

  1. Open your DAW.

  2. Insert MIDIGRiD as a MIDI effect plugin.

  3. Route MIDIGRiD’s MIDI output to a virtual instrument.

  4. If you don’t hear any sound, make sure MIDI routing is correctly set up—refer to your DAW’s documentation if needed.


Troubleshooting

MIDIGRiD Not Appearing in Your DAW?

  • Double-check you installed the correct plugin format:

    • AU for Logic Pro (macOS)

    • VST3 for most other DAWs and Windows

  • Make sure your DAW’s plugin scan paths include the installation folders.
