(In-Plugin Activation + iLok Legacy Guide)

Last Update 3 ay önce

If you've purchased an AIR Music Tech plugin from ADSR Sounds, your software will require activation. Depending on the product, there are two possible methods:

  1. In-Plugin Login & Activation – used by most current AIR products

  2. iLok License Manager – required for a small number of legacy plugins

This guide walks you through both activation paths and how to reinstall or move your license to a new machine.

✅ Activation via In-Plugin Sign-In (Most Common)

Most AIR plugins now use a simple in-plugin activation process that connects directly to your AIR account—no need for external tools.

Step 1 – Install the Plugin

Download and run the installer from your ADSR Sounds account. Once installed, open your DAW and load the plugin.

Step 2 – Sign In or Create an Account

On first launch, the plugin will prompt you to sign in or create an AIR Music account. This opens a secure web page in your browser.

  • Already have an account? Just log in.

  • Need a new one? Follow the signup steps—it only takes a minute.

Step 3 – Enter Your License Code

Once logged in, you'll be prompted to enter the 16-digit license code you received with your ADSR order (e.g., 1234-5678-9012-3456).

After entering the code, your product will activate and stay authorized on that machine.

🔁 Deactivating and Moving to a New Computer

To use your plugin on another computer:

  1. Install the plugin

  2. Open it in your DAW

  3. Sign in with the same AIR account

  4. You'll be prompted to activate again

  5. If you've hit your activation limit, follow on-screen steps to deactivate an old device or contact AIR support

🔐 Activation via iLok (Legacy Products Only)

Some older plugins require iLok for activation. This applies only if:

  • You received a long, alphanumeric iLok-style license code (not a 16-digit code), or

  • The plugin specifically mentions iLok during installation

You’ll use this to manage your licenses.

  1. Click the “Redeem an Activation Code” button in iLok

  2. Paste in your code

  3. Choose where to activate it:

    • Your local computer

    • An iLok USB dongle

    • iLok Cloud (requires constant internet)

Your plugin is now authorized and ready to use.

♻️ Reinstalling or Re-Downloading the Plugin

Need to reinstall?

  • Re-download the installer from your ADSR Sounds account

  • Run the installer, then open your DAW

  • Sign in and activate again (in-plugin), or reauthorize using iLok if applicable

🧰 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Q1: I received an error stating "Code redemption limit has been reached" while activating my software. What should I do?

This usually means the license has already been redeemed to an iLok account—most likely your own. To activate it:

  1. Open the iLok License Manager and sign in.

  2. Locate the plugin license in your account.

  3. Right-click it and choose Activate.

  4. Select your current device and complete the process.

The license is still valid—it just needs to be activated from within your iLok account.

Q2: iLok says “no activations left.” What now?

Each AIR plugin license allows activation on up to 3 devices. If you hit this limit:

  • Open iLok License Manager.

  • Deactivate an unused or old device.

  • If you're unable to access a previous device, contact AIR Music Tech or ADSR Support for help resetting activations.

Q3: In-plugin login not working?

If you're having trouble logging in from the plugin:

  • Try using a different browser when the plugin launches the sign-in window.

  • Temporarily disable ad-blockers or browser extensions, which can interfere with login sessions.

Q4: How many devices can I authorize with my AIR plugin license?

You can authorize up to three computers simultaneously. If you attempt to authorize a fourth, one of your previous authorizations will be removed automatically.

Q5: Do I need to deactivate my plugin before switching to a new computer?

No need. As long as you haven’t exceeded the three-device limit, just sign in on the new computer and activate as normal.

Q6: Which AIR plugins still use iLok authorization?

The following products are still tied to PACE iLok licensing:

  • AIR Creative FX Collection

  • Boom

  • DB-33

  • Drum Synth 599

  • Hybrid 3 (legacy)

  • Loom / Loom II

  • Mini Grand

  • Strike

  • Structure

  • theRiser

  • Timewarp 2600

  • Transfuser 2

  • Vacuum / Vacuum Pro

  • Velvet

  • Xpand!2 (legacy)

Q7: I authorized my license using the software’s authorizer and now I can’t activate it on another computer. What should I do?

You likely authorized it without linking to an iLok account. Here’s what to do:

  1. Create a free iLok account.

  2. Download and install iLok License Manager.

  3. Contact AIR or ADSR Support with your license info and request assistance assigning the license to your iLok account.

Q8: I’m seeing a “Software Component Unavailable” error when opening iLok. How can I fix this?

This means the iLok services aren’t running properly:

  1. Close the iLok License Manager.

  2. Open Services from your Windows Control Panel.

  3. Locate PACE License Services.

  4. Set to Automatic and start the service.

If you're still stuck, please reach out to ADSR Support or AIR Music Tech Support. We’re here to help you get up and running.
